All You Need To Know About A Brazilian Butt Lift In Miami
A Brazilian butt lift can be regarded as a popular cosmetic procedure where fat is transferred to create more fullness in your butt. This procedure basically comprises fat crafting for natural-looking results. Typically, anesthesia is required to perform this procedure. However, in procedures where only a small volume of fat gets transferred, doctors make do with local anesthesia or numbing medication. If you get sick with anesthesia, you can also request the doctor for an anti-nausea medication.
Unlike other versions of butt surgery, a Brazilian butt lift provides better and more natural-looking results. It also helps in creating the perfect roundness in your butt. Moreover, if you want to address certain body issues such as shapelessness and sagging (which usually comes with age), a Brazilian butt lift in Miami can prove to be the perfect surgery for you. This procedure can also prove to be perfect for you if figure imbalances bother you and prevent you from wearing your favorite clothing comfortably.
People prefer getting Brazilian butt lifts as opposed to silicone butt implants because there is a significantly lower risk of infection. This means that the safety profile of butt implants is much more than other substances like sealants and silicone caulking. That said, like any cosmetic surgery, it is important that you take special care after getting a Brazilian butt lift procedure done. For instance, you won’t be able to sit at all on your butt following surgery for at least two weeks. Moreover, you will have to sleep on your stomach or your side until your butt is healed completely.
Therefore, you must ensure that you get the best plastic surgeon in Miami for the procedure. Carlos Spera is a popular name in Miami and is known as one of the best plastic surgeons in Miami. For more details, visit www.carlosspera.com.

What is Brazilian Butt Lift?
The procedure of increasing the size of the buttocks, and reshaping them using the same patient’s fat, is now known in the United States as “Brazilian Butt-Lift”.
This name evolved because the procedure was carried out mainly in Brazil. They were the first to report results worldwide in the medical literature. The correct term is “autologous fat graft (your own) for the gluteal area.”
Originally, surgeons injected small amounts of fat into the buttocks or gluteal areas. With the passage of time, when the doctors felt more confident and not seeing complications with this procedure, the amounts of fat injected began to increase.
The fat grafts did not only allow the correction of deficiencies in the area, but also increase the size of the buttocks, and lift them to a greater extent.
Process
The “ideal” woman has buttocks whose circumference is 1.4 times the size of her waist. The surgeon can improve the aesthetics of the patient, and achieve the measure indicated above. For that, it will remove excess fat from around the buttocks. For example: You will inject fat from the lower back, even from the side of the thighs, into the gluteal area.
The Brazilian “Butt-Lift” procedure is done in conjunction with liposuction. It is indicated, as necessary, to get enough fat, which will then be injected into the buttocks. The typical procedure includes liposuction of the abdomen and back (upper, lower, or both). All this usually provides enough fat for the graft. Depending on the doctor, it will process the obtained fat and refine it in different ways.
Our procedure
In order to ensure the best result of persistence and non-resorption, Dr. Spera performs the following steps:
It will gather the tissue in sterile containers. He will centrifuge them in order to separate the fat cells from any other type of material that is not necessary.
Then fill small syringes with the refined fat tissue. In a posterior step and in layers, it will inject into the buttocks the refined tissue using a small cannula, which will allow the performance of micro-grafts, which will have a better chance of surviving.
By general consensus and also by our experience, most fat survives in this way. We have not had major complications related to this procedure of fat grafting to the buttocks, and patients do not report pain associated with this procedure.
It can be done under general anesthesia, or under sedatives and local anesthesia. In our practice, in either of the two ways, we have an anesthesiologist in charge of ensuring: on the one hand, the safety of our patients and, on the other hand, that the surgical experience is relaxed and pleasant.
Recovery
Most patients who have this surgery are discharged the same day of the procedure. Dr. Spera will make small incisions, such as routine liposuction, to insert the cannula for injections.
Recovery time varies depending on the extent of liposuction. We generally recommend that patients wait seven days before returning to their regular activities.
Considering that the patient undergoes and will also benefit from liposuction, the increase in the cost of the surgery is very reasonable.
As is well known, the first attempts to increase the size of the buttocks were with different types of implants. Although this type of surgery is successful, it requires a long and moderately painful post-operative recovery of 2 to 3 weeks. It is also exposed to a variety of complications that could lead to the need for post-operative wound care, and this could range from 1 to 3 months.
Complications arising from this type of surgery with implants always create unexpected expenses, not to mention the patient’s anxiety. For this reason, this procedure is currently reserved for patients who do not have enough excess fat for the fatty graft of the buttocks.
