Transumbilical Breast Augmentation (TUBA)

Women are often interested in breast augmentation, but worry about recovery time or scars on the breasts. By using the unique transumbilical approach to breast augmentation, a patient had saline implants placed with only an incision made in the umbilicus. In the pictures, you can see that there are no scars on the breasts. Since the incision is in the umbilicus, its healing is unaffected by arm raising and there is no fear of the incision opening up because the implant is putting strain on it. With a small incision, there is less pain and a speedy recovery and return to daily activities.
